Xiao Huang

Xiao Huang is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC, USA. His research interests include the application of remote sensing, geographic information science, and the technical development of rapid response to natural disasters incorporating social media. Mr. Huang is a member of many academic organizations, including the Association of the American Geographers (AAG), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Southeastern Division of the AAG (SEDAAG), American Geographic Society (AGS), and International Association of Chinese Professional in Geographic Information Sciences (CPGIS)

Huixuan Li

Huixuan Li received her masters degree in Geography from Auburn University in May 2015. Her publications mainly employed RS and GIS techniques to analyze water qualities, human and natural environmental interactions. Her current research interests focus on coastal ecosystem and marsh healthiness in South Carolina.

Yuqin Jiang

Yuqin Jiang joins the Geoinformation and Big Data Research lab as a Ph.D. student at the Department of Geography, USC in Summer, 2017. Yuqin received M.S. degree in Geography from University of South Carolina and B.A. in Geography with specialization in GIS from University at Buffalo. Yuqin’s research field is GIScience with a focus on spatial network, geo-spatial big data analytics and visualization, cyberinfrastructure-based GIS (cyberGIS) with application to disaster management, human dynamics, social media, and transportation.

Huan Ning (graduated in 2019)

Huan served as a GIS/RS/UAV Photogrammetry engineer for ten years. Currently, he is a master student in Department of Geography, University of South Carolina and works on RS image semantic segmentation and classification, geo-related social media image analysis.
